The Armenian Genocide

April 24th is right around the corner and we owe it to our ancestors who were systematically murdered during the Ottoman Empire era of the Turkish government to continuously speak of this subject in order to educate others. The denial still exists to this day. It is amazing how a group of people can roundly reject the disappearance of 1.5 million people. As if they no longer wanted to live in the country of Turkey, so they just picked their things up overnight and moved out.

I wrote a while back about Hrant Dink, and what the recognition meant for him. I always hear something new every time I speak to a new voice. In fact the other day I met an Italian gentlemen at the cigar shop, he was in his 80s and mentioned to me how he worked for an Armenian in Watertown. He was the only non-Armenian to ever bake Syrian bread! He told me of horrors that his boss told him about.

In recent news, new information has come to light, that information being Turkey's hidden Armenians (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-335857292932517366). These are Turkish people with their newly found Armenian Heritage. Please take some time out of your day to watch that video. Also, President Obama will be making a trip over to Turkey in the near future. I read an article the other day written by Ms. Carla Garabedian which was beautifully written, so I won't even paraphrase just take a moment to read it (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/carla-garapedian/do-the-right-thing-presid_b_182048.html)

Almost a 100 years, and still people can describe these horrors vividly; now, if the elders were lying, the story would change over time. But lies usually don't include such great detail, or such conviction! April 17th, 2009 at the Boston's State House the 94th commemoration of the Armenian Genocide denial. If you have time to take off from work please join us for this annual commemoration in the chamber, it will be followed by a reception in the Great Hall. Please, join us.

Moral: "...the Armenian massacre was the greatest crime of the war, and the failure to act against Turkey is to condone it ... the failure to deal radically with the Turkish horror means that all talk of guaranteeing the future peace of the world is mischievous nonsense." - President Theodore Roosevelt

What is it

I'm sure you have all heard that you need to invest in the stock market. Continue investing into your 401Ks. Things are going to pick up and when they do you will be rolling in copious amounts of green. Idealistically, this is comparable to planting trees that grow money on them right? Right! So I have taken some time out of my life to read on how to's, who's best, and when should's, and believe me it is exciting stuff...like playing marbles or pick up sticks as children, just fantastic stuff...

So how is there so much fluctuation in the stock market?! What makes that crazy thing so volatile??? Basically it's during falling stock prices and economic recessions. Really the nervousness of the people who are in the game take control of them. People decide based on some facts produced by the publicly traded companies, as well as a lot of gut feeling, pushing people to buy or sell.

So when should we buy and sell? I'm no expert, not even an intermediate, wouldn't even consider myself a novice...but I will give some insight. For those of you who hear about an investment opportunity and kick yourself for not investing in it, only to see it boom without you having any piece of it...remember that stock could have easily gone down, and know that you still have capital to invest into the next "great investment" when that comes along ;-)

The beats is sweeter than candy...

It's early morning, I rise and shine to a moon. I know; that's early! Already I am feeling off cause I didn't get the rest I need. I'm tired, I feel overwhelmed at taking the day on as if I had the weight of the world on my shoulders. Hit the watering closet, shower up, and grease myself up with some solid Murray's hair grease...the best grease on the market I.M.O...and that is here and that is there people...

I drop my mother off at work, usual morning routine and gets going on my way to my 8 hours...hit the concrete hard, road was clear this morning, I mean I woke up to a moon still...what did i expect, so i got on my girl a bit, shifting a little harder than usual, turning a little tighter than usual, gassing a little more than usual; felt good, felt like I owned the road...

I stop at the convenience store up by where I work. Needed some basics, mouth wash, anise cookies, Sausage Bacon Egg and Cheese Double Decker, Men's health, and diet sprint water...get to the cashier and who do I see in front of me but Wreckx-N-Effect. I know I didn't believe it either...Typical fan move, I approach them eagerly ready with my question. "Excuse me. Excuse me. Mr. Wreckx - N - Mr. Effect. Hi, yes, check baby check baby one question, is it true that all you wanted to do was a zoom zoom zoom and a poom poom?" To which they replied "APRIL FOOL'S MOTHER F***ERS!"

It's over...

Yeah, the long weekend for me has finally come back to an end. I was on vacation since last Wednesday and I am getting settled back into the grind. It was nice. I did a lot of things. Cleaned a lot. Donated clothes and shoes. Watched even more DVDs and smoked some more cigars.

I think my favorite however was going over to starbucks with my good friend Ed on Friday, sitting down for a few hours, and reading a great story. It was really a symphony. A great masterpiece, that, once completed, in my opinion, will be a solid contribution to film. It was so nice. Fifty-five degrees, I actually gained some pigment in my skin just sitting there. All i needed was the hookah there and it would have been a perfect day.

Mmmm....Starbuzz. The latest in tobacco that I have been smoking. I place water and ice-cubes in the base. Use half mixed-fruit and half two-apples to pack the sultan bowl. The smoke is sweet because the tobacco is made with honey and not molasses. My mouth waters at the thought of it. If you have been smoking Al-quema, which is a great brand, I would have to say starbuzz takes it to another level in their effort to provide a solid contribution to the tobacco world...

What it is...

And what it isn't. I was going to watch raging bull and actually began it. Was something like my 15th or 16th time watching it but I got a phone call shortly thereafter. It was to take my cuz Drico bowling for getting straight A's on his report card. What up high honors. We get to the local alley and of course we're unable to get ten pin lanes because they are booked with league play. I can understand though, I used to be in one of those leagues...

So we go for the next best thing...candle pin bowling...i get up and throw a strike ladies and gents, first roll. Yeah you know it all went down hill from there cause I couldn't pick up a spare for the life of me after that...kept throwing and throwing, gutter, single, gutter gutter single...double, 7, well you get the picture...so i get smoked both of the games by my cousins, head home and catch some teli, totally laid back Sunday you know what i mean...

Stimulate laziness...i start eating and eating, watching more teli, eat, snack and then national geographic pops up with material on the bible and the the devil's bible...it is amazing how throughout generations and generations, questions remain unanswered, and people pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for archaeological finds that are frauds...

Moral: Lazy days tamper with the mind allowing it to roam into an abyss that leads to no rational sense...just a plethora of thoughts painted onto a canvas that have no relevant meaning...so just grab yourself a lane...

And always....Keep dancin
